Meet the HypZotiQue Cast

A former heiress turned jewel theif,
AMITY

spent several years in a Turkish prison rather than accept bail money from her family.  Nineteen days after her escape, she hopped the circus train, where she was welcomed without question.  Though Amity knows every folk dance from the world over, no one knows her country of origin. Indeed, little is known about our wayward gypsy, except that she plays the theramin and raises songbirds.

Rose Bessent

is a second-generation bellydancer known for her unconventional interpretations and seemingly effortless fluidity. Raised in the wilds of Bulgaria on dandelion wine and drinking songs, Rose came to Hypzotique with-child, and delivered her daughter in a circus wagon beneath a harvest moon.

He's back.
The Dark Clown Jingo

who reigned for three years over the main stage at Dead North in Danville each October, has returned to Vermont.
He arrived by rickshaw demanding liquor, bail money, and incense, before storming off to his dressing room.
No one knows where the machete-juggling anti-clown has been since leaving Dead North in 2005, but Jingo sightings have been reported all over the globe. First in Paris. Then in Tangiers. Followed by Budapest, Montserrat, and Wassilla.
The battered trailer from which he held court and entertained during his Dead North years disappeared mysteriously from its spot two years ago.  It was later found by divers at the bottom of Lake Champlain near the wreckage of a revolutionary war gunboat.

HypzOtikA BellyDancE Director
Erin Narey

is the only daughter of a voodoo priestess and a candlestick maker. Family folklore maintains  she did not speak until she was seven, at which time she sighed and uttered, "What fresh hell is this?" She's made a living as a junker, a tinker, a fortune-teller and a matchmaker before being arrested for fraud and bootlegging.

Daughter of a snake charmer and, rumor has it, a snake,
NAIMA

is notorious for her serpentine undulations and dangerous penchant for hypnosis. She is wanted in Romania for mesmerizing a wealthy politician who bought her jewels, cattle, and passage to America before the crowing of a banty rooster snapped him free of her spell.

Special guest performer
Natalia Badanuz

departed Madame Amandine's School for Girls Raised by Wolves amidst controversial and bizarre circumstances.  Her myriad talents include shape-shifting, choral chanting, and immediate effortless dominance over every creature she meets, be it man or beast. What, we wonder, is the difference?
